Dil Wickremasinghe & The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Críona Ní Dhálaigh to lead #GCA16!

UY8B2188-682x1024We are delighted to announce that Social Justice and Mental Health Broadcaster, Journalist, Activist, Social Entrepreneur, Trainer, MC, Actor and Stand up Comedian – many hats but just one person Dil Wickremasinghe from Newstalks Global Village will be part of the 2016 Global Citizen Award Celebrations! The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Críona Ní Dhálaigh will also give the closing address of the day making the event a true celebration of these great Global Citizens!!

 

The afternoon will honour the hard work of the international volunteers who will be receiving their Bronze, Silver and Gold Global Citizen Awards and is an indicator of their motivation and dedication on return in Ireland with their blogs, actions, experiences and memories inspiring the Irish public on the Global issues they witnessed.

The 2016 winners have volunteered in range of countries through Irish Volunteer Sending partners; Development Perspectives, Nurture Africa, SUAS, VLM, AIESEC Ireland, EIL, Global School Room and Serve. Initiated by EIL Intercultural Learning, the Global Citizen Award is sponsored by Irish Aid and supported by our 19 partner organisations. The award is recognised by Comhlámh and IDEA.
